Gregor Prächt ist ein vielseitiger Tenor und Musiker, der auch als Texter, Komponist und Produzent erfolgreich ist. Schon in jungen Jahren zeigte er sein Talent, trat mit 11 Jahren auf dem Nürnberger Christkindlesmarkt auf und sang mit 15 Jahren im United States Army Gospelchor. Er studierte bei renommierten Lehrern wie Carlo Bergonzi und hatte als jüngster Tenor Auftritte bei den Salzburger Festspielen. Mit 19 Jahren initiierte er Crossover-Projekte mit der Dresdner Philharmonie und tourte später durch die USA und Europa.

Er sang und produzierte mit zahlreichen bekannten Künstlern, darunter Al Jarreau, Luciano Pavarotti und die Gipsy Kings. Seine Stimme ist auch in der Animationsserie „Simsala Grimm“ bekannt. Prächt komponierte das Lied „My Song Lives On“ für die hawaiianische Königin Lili’uokalani und engagiert sich für wohltätige Zwecke, insbesondere für kranke und Waisenkinder.

Er ist Grammy Voting-Mitglied und erhielt 2019 den Ehrentitel „Prof. h.c.“ von zwei Universitäten für seine musikalischen Leistungen. Seine Karriere umfasst internationale Auftritte, darunter eine Gala mit dem St. Petersburger Symphonieorchester und ausverkaufte Jubiläumsshows in München. Biography

Gregor Prächt is a versatile tenor and musician who has made his mark as a lyricist, composer and producer.

Gregor already showed his musical talent at a young age. At the age of only 11, he made his first public appearance as a "child of the people" at the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt. One year later, he already had his first solo part in a children's opera at the opera house. At the age of 15, Gregor sang in the United States Army Gospel Choir and led his own band until he graduated from high school. Gregor Prächt was the youngest tenor ever to perform at the Salzburg Festival/Easter Gala.

He received his musical education from renowned teachers such as Maestro Miguel Baraldes and Maestro Carlo Bergonzi, an outstanding tenor and principal singing partner of Maria Callas, from whom he earned his diploma.

Gregor Prächt distinguished himself at the age of 19, when he became the first artist to win the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra for crossover projects. He toured the USA at the age of 21 and by 25 was singing in major European cities, including Austria, Italy and Scandinavia.

Sein erstes Konzert in Hawaii im Jahr 1992 markierte einen Meilenstein in seiner Karriere. Gregor Prächt hat im Laufe seiner Karriere im Duett mit bekannten Künstlern wie Al Jarreau, Toni Childs, Adrian Werum, Klaus Meine (Scorpions), Henry Kapono, Antonia Bennett, Jamie Lawrence, Judith Lefeber(DSDS/rtl), Gipsy Kings, Philippe Chretien, Anna Maria Kaufmann,  Luc Plamondon, Alex Wilson, TicTacToe, Patricia Kelly, Paula Be, Kiko Masbaum, Valerio Calisse, Francesca Garbi, Viviana Staffini, Richard Parks, Miguel Baraldes, Lutz Neugebauer, Tom Reif, Luis Miguel, Luciano Pavarotti. He is the original voice of the animated series Simsala Grimm which has been broadcast in over 30 countries since its release in 1999.

His repertoire ranges from the great tenor arias and songs in opera and concert halls to his own compositions and light music. He is especially proud of his song "My Song Lives On," which he wrote for the real Queen of Hawaii, Queen Lili'uokalani. This work has brought him together with officials in Germany and Hawaii.

Gregor Prächt has numerous releases, including classical and live CDs, maxisingles with well-known artists and CDs for Steiff teddy bears. He is an artist with increasing success worldwide and is constantly evolving.

Besides his passion for music, he is involved in charitable causes, especially for sick children and orphans. He is also actively involved in the promotion of young talent.

Gregor Prächt is an ever-traveling man, learning from new experiences and his idols such as Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti. Quincy Jones aptly describes him as "the voice of the future and today," and Al Jarreau calls him "a unique voice and most valuable human being." His life is all about music, his family, friends and fans.

In addition to his diverse musical experiences, Gregor Prächt also had the opportunity to experience collaborative performances with the renowned Gipsy Kings. These collaborative performances enriched his repertoire and demonstrated his ability to hold his own in different musical styles and to work with globally respected artists. During the period from 2022 to 2023, Gregor Prächt continued his musical involvement by hosting monthly recitals for Nordoff Robbin's Music Therapy. This valuable work demonstrated his social commitment and dedication to helping others through music.

Another highlight during this period was the glamorous gala with the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra in Meerbusch. This event underlines his ability to perform on an international level with renowned orchestras and to present his musical excellence.

In addition, Gregor Prächt thrilled his audience with two sold-out shows on the occasion of his 40th stage anniversary in Munich. This significant anniversary is a testament to his enduring popularity and talent to inspire people all over the world with his music.
